Japanese Domestic Market OTAKU is a series of poster infographics that elaborates on six of the various styles of Japanese Domestic Market car culture. The goal of this thesis is to inform the viewer that there is more to a car culture than under glow and massive spoilers. Japanese car culture is often depicted as flashy and loud without showing the complexity of its various sub-genres. To solve this problem, I created six posters, each illustrating a car with a certain style within the Japanese Domestic Market culture. The posters also have information regarding the style that includes the name, the definition, its importance, and details about the specific car portrayed in the poster. The intent is for the viewer to be more aware of the different styles of cars they see on the same streets and not jump to the conclusion that every bright and loud car is a Japanese car.
